Alvernia One, slated for completion in 2021, will be the newest addition at Mt Alvernia Hospital Campus (Singapore’s only Catholic-Ethos Hospital ). It offers Family Care-Centric Acute Hospital state-of-the-art facilities to 88 Single Bed Wards. It incorporates a comprehensive suit of Accident-Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging, High Dependecy and Intensive Care Units, Cardio Vascular Treatment and Elder Care Rehab options, with full service connectivity to facilities of the existing campus.
The new wing will also create a pleasant “Court Yard/ Plaza” effect. With its humanistic architectural scale. It will serve as a very friendly and welcoming space, an integral part of the Catholic-Ethos that Mount Alvernia Hospital is famous for. This brand of caring pastoral healthcare was started by the founders, Order of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood and till today is embodied in the mission statement of the hospital.
The new OCH building is a 19 Storey high building comprising of 547 bed Community Hospital, Rehabilitation Clinics, Campus Logistics Centre (CLC), Administration Offices and public car parking. It is highly accessible from main roads which serves as an important way-finding strategy for different users. “Campus Plaza” at ground level forms the central heart of the new campus, houses a variety of public spaces for interaction between patients, staff and the community at large.
Facilitating skin care into the 21st century, National Skin Centre Complex involves creating a new 11-Storey Wing (to serve expansion needs of the population) while complementing the existing 5-Storey building that will also be upgraded. To be executed in phases in decanting scenarios to minimize disruption to on-going operation, the final complex will house Treatment, Training, Consultation and Administrative Facilities, all in a modern compact architecture. It will also house the Head Quarters of the National Healthcare Group. Note worthy is the energy-efficient, no-frills but nonetheless architectural beautiful facade; just the way good skin should be!
Standing tall as an iconic gateway into Outram Medical Campus, the new 24 storeys and 4 basements National cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is one efficiently organized entity made up by two simple and elegant stepped forms welcoming one into a ‘Place of Hope’. This sanctuary of healing is organized by floors to embed the clinical, research and educational functions by disease type to provide better medical care and foster collaboration. Integrated within this Building will be home to the new Goh Cheng Liang Proton Therapy Centre, the state of the art proton therapy facility within the Division of Radiation Oncology.
